Turns out that doing Speed Interval Training for cardio is just as effective as Endurance training in every way. To be exact, doing 4.5 hours a week of light jogging is the equivalent as 1.5 hours of interval training - 30 second all out sprints with 4 minute breaks - per week. However, there is an even greater advantage to interval training, the health effects on the body are more permanent than endurance training.
